Terms of Use

1. Who we are
Crucible ("we", "us", "our") is a conversation simulation platform for managers and leaders, operated by Ron Rafalovitch as a sole-proprietor product at crucibleai.app. By accessing or using Crucible, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the product.
2. What Crucible is
Crucible provides AI-powered conversation simulations, coaching feedback, and debriefs intended to help managers practice difficult workplace conversations. All scenarios, counterpart responses, coaching notes, and debriefs are generated by artificial intelligence. They are educational tools and should not be construed as professional legal, HR, psychological, or organizational advice. Use your own judgment before applying anything from a simulation to a real situation.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at ron@crucibleai.app if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans (Solo, Team) are billed monthly in advance. Billing and payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all Crucible transactions. This means Lemon Squeezy is responsible for billing, tax collection, and payment compliance on our behalf. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period. Team seats are for the account holder and up to four additional users within the same organization. Sharing credentials outside this scope is not permitted. Free trial: New accounts receive a 7-day free trial of the Solo plan. No credit card is required to begin the trial. If you choose to continue after the trial period, you will be asked to provide payment details and will be billed monthly going forward. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your account will revert to read-only access (your history is preserved). You may only use one free trial per person.
5. Refund policy
Our full refund policy is published at crucibleai.app/refund. In summary: if you subscribed after a free trial and are not satisfied, you may request a full refund of your first month's payment within 7 days of your first charge by emailing ron@crucibleai.app. Refunds are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use Crucible to harass, defame, or plan harm against real individuals; (b) attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or reproduce the underlying AI prompts or system architecture; (c) resell or redistribute access to Crucible without written permission; (d) use automated tools to scrape content or overload the service; (e) input personal data about real employees without appropriate authorization under applicable privacy law.
7. Your content
You own the content you input — scenario descriptions, persona details, conversation messages. By using Crucible, you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to deliver the service. We do not use your simulation content to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for how data is stored and handled.
8. AI-generated content
Crucible's AI responses are generated algorithmically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or contextually inappropriate. We make no warranty about the quality, accuracy, or applicability of AI-generated coaching, debrief content, or counterpart responses. You use AI-generated content at your own discretion.
9. Intellectual property
The Crucible brand, product design, coaching frameworks, prompt architecture, and all original content on this site are owned by Ron Rafalovitch. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you. You may not reproduce or commercially exploit Crucible content without written permission.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Crucible is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that simulations will produce any particular outcome in real-world conversations.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ron Rafalovitch's total liability for any claim arising from your use of Crucible shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim. In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel, except where local consumer-protection law mandates otherwise.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
